SSPW is the longest established Private and Independent Day service provider for Adults with Special Needs in Southampton.

Established in 1993 by Jim Parker as an alternative to the traditional day services.

Over the past 25+ years we have developed as a service provider to offer a wider range of activities around our core working principles.

Our service is divided into 6 main groups all with lots of alternatives and choices of options to meet all our service users needs, with everyone encouraged to take part in all aspects,

Although we try to get users to vary there work pattern and get involved and work with other users in group tasks. They usually find a job that they enjoy and do more often than others.

The main Workshop in Portswood is divided into four areas Woodwork, Garage, Craft and a Canteen, The Farm is located in Durley and the Shop is in Woolston, With Leisure activities done in the community.

SSPW operates an ‘open house’ policy all agency or funding bodies are free to visit at any time. Although pre booking is advisable.
Currently areas that employ our services are Southampton, Hampshire, Portsmouth, and Bournemouth.
All placements are funded by Social Services, NHS, Health, Care homes, Parents or Careers, ILF, Direct Payments, Personal Budgets.
